City of St. Augustine Beach’s 60th Birthday :
The City of St. Augustine Beach took a “step back in time” to reflect on its 60 years as a municipality and celebrate Florida City Government Week! The City hosted an open house on October 25, which included a historical display with pictures and artifacts from the City’s past, a trivia table, and refreshments. In addition, Max Royle was honored for his 30 years of service as St. Augustine Beach City Manager by being surprised with a cake.

“It has been very rewarding to serve our wonderful City in this capacity,” said City Manager, Max Royle. “I am thankful for this opportunity, the City, and its residents.”
The City of St. Augustine Beach would like to thank its residents, the St. Augustine Historical Society, the St. Augustine Beach Civic Association, St. Augustine Beach volunteers, and community partners for their contributions to the display. The City would also like to recognize Mayor George and Vice Mayor England for providing the refreshments served at this event.
Florida City Government Week, sponsored by the Florida League of Cities, is a celebration that raises awareness about the importance of municipal government. The League is the official organization of the municipal governments in Florida.
